A number of heavy vehicle and freight restrictions are in place to maintain the connectivity of the road network in the wake of recent flooding and cyclone disasters.

• TMR heavy vehicles is actively responding to changes in access and working with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).
• If an emergency or recovery operations have interfered with your ability to lodge an application, please contact 13 NHVR (13 64 87) to obtain the required oral or in-writing exemption.

Flood Recovery Permits (FRPs):

Any movement in disaster affected areas by vehicles normally requiring permits, operating under guidelines, schemes or exemptions may require a FRP.

Owner/operators are requested to contact the Flood Recovery Road Access Group on 1300 105 647 for advice prior to travel.
